10.5 XDCAM Planning support

10.5.1 Overview

Inadditiontotraditionalclipmetadata,theSONYXDCAMstandardcanprovideauser-definedmetadatasetcalledtheplan-

ningmetadataset.YoucantakeadvantageofthisfeatureinENGSoftbyenablingtheXDCAM planningsupportoption. 

Whenthisoptionisactivatedyoucanbrowse,mapandingestplanninginformationinENGSoftlikeanyothermetadataset.

Only  one  user- defined  planning  set  can  be  used  by  ENGSoft  at  a  time.  If  you  want  to  take  advantage of  your 

XDCAMmaterialplanningmetadatayoushouldstartbycarefullydefiningtheinformationyouwillneedtoaccessinyour

planningmetadataanddesignit.ThissetalonewillberecognizedasthevalidplanningsetbyENGSoft.Ifyouwantusto

help  you  design  the  planning  metadata  that  best  fits  your  workflow  needs,  contact  us  at

10.5.2 Enabling XDCAM planning support in ENGSoft

AnXMLschemafilewillbedesignedforyourspecificneedsandshouldbeinstalledtocompletetheconfigurationofENG-

SoftandenableXDCAMplanningsupport.

After  you  install  the  application,  you  will  have  to  manually  copy  the 

"XDCAMPlanningSchema.xsd"  file  that  has  been  provided  with  your  software  installer  in  the 

"C:\ProgramData\OpenCube Technologies\OpenCube ENGSoft"folder.
