7. Metadata

7.1 INTRODUCTION

Metadata is customer-defined data which can be associated with media or edits to

describe or classify them.

Metadata user fields can be created and associated into profiles within Xedio

Manager. Then, a metadata profile can be assigned to media or edits and

metadata values specific to the media or edit can be entered in the user fields.

Three items are available in the Metadata category. They are detailed in the table

below.

Item Description

Profile Management Manages the creation of metadata fields and their

association into metadata profiles.

Media Profile

Association

Allows the selection of metadata profiles to be available

for association with media.

Edit Profile

Association

Allows the selection of metadata profiles to be available

for association with an edit.
